素人工作 第二弾

 前回の失敗(裏面を12センチ角で作ってしまったこと)を踏まえて第二弾にトライしました。

工作の秋です

 ちょっと工作をしてみました

まず用意したのはA4光沢紙と空のCDケース

Bandcampでジャケ画像と曲目のデータをダウンロードします

ワープロ・ソフトに貼り付けます

光沢紙に印刷してカッターで切り取ります

空ケースに入れるとそれっぽく見えてきます

カメラと私のメガネが映り込んでるのはご愛敬ということで(笑

ネットの知り合いから、直ちに「Snowgoose」さんと「やよい＠欧州某所」さんのXを見よとのメールを受信しました。

嗚呼、情弱な俺

Andrew Latimer名義のbandcampが開設されているではないですか !

最初の曲「Seeking Refuge」のリリースが8月13日だったのですね。その後、五月雨的に

全7ファイルがアップされていました。

更に、つい先日、10月1日には、フルアルバム「War Stories」が...

早速、全作品の購入手続きを進めました。あっ、Colin Bassの「Dream #1」も !

Pete (Jones) was working on a project about coal miners when I sent this track and title to him. After two days he sent back a wonderful vocal and sax solo. A truly gifted musician and friend.

In Search of the Lost CD

先般、空きスペース用に小さめのCDラックを購入しました。ボチボチCDの配置変更をしているのですが、ここにきて思わぬ副産物がありました。行方不明になっていた9BachのTincianが出てきたのです。

こちらのアルバム、Colin Bassがプロデュースしているのですが、昨年の当サイトのColin Bassコーナー再編に当たって、CDが行方不明のため掲載を見送っていたものです。聴きなおしたら追記しようと思います。

How To Be a Rock Star - その6 (Them Again)

前回予告では「Peter Green 登場!」としてたのですが、予定を変更して別記事をお送りします。

Themの1stアルバムThe Angry Young Them (1965年作) に、Peter Bardensが参加していることは、よく知られているかと思います。このあたりの経緯については「その5」でご紹介しましたが、移り気なBardensは自身のプロジェクトを進めるために早々にThemを脱退します。

ところが、「How to be a Rock Star」を読み進めるうちに、Peter BardensとThemに関する気になる記述に遭遇しました。

January 1966 saw the Decca release of Them Again, the second album by Van Morrison's group Them, with Pete Bardens's mitts all over it.

Particularly stunning was their cover of Bob Dylan's 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue’.

Its fantastic arrangement and haunting keys were our Pete personified.That the album failed to chart was of no consequence to us 

手持ちのCDにはメンバー等のクレジットがなかったため、Discogsを見てみましたが、やはり奏者の記載がありません。

Wikipediaを検索すると、それらしい記述がありました。

Although in his album review Bruce Eder is uncertain about the recording personnel other than Van Morrison and Alan Henderson, a review by Mojo magazine writers identifies them as:

なんだか微妙な書きぶりなので確定情報なのかどうか自信が持てません。また、ThemのアンソロジーCDやBelfast Gypsiesのアルバムのブックレットに目を通してみたのですが、それらしい記述はありませんでした。

時間が取れたらもう少し調べてみようと思います。
